libra new moon guides

I think I’ve been waiting for this new moon my whole life. It’s the perfect initiation into all that I’ve been working and dreaming into existence. Enjoy these lovely guides to help you find your balance point for this yummy lunar cycle.

From Mystic Mamma:

*NEW MOON* in Libra asks us to honor that which abides within, as we restructure how we move in the world of relationships.
It’s been a time of unearthing, sensing and deep feeling.
There has been much upheaval as Truth rises to be acknowledged.
More than ever we must remember that nothing goes unseen and our truth will always be a beacon when we stand in our integrity.
We are in relationship with every single thing in our lives, and each relationship is our sacred mirror of Reflection.
This is a powerful time of integration that serves as a catalyzing moment in our Soul’s journey to wholeness.
We must be loving with ourselves during this time and find the time to connect deeply with our Soul.

From Kathy Biehl Astrology Hub:

“Transformation is a given, in goals, tribal/family systems and specific arrangements. The New Moon is squaring evolutionary change agent Pluto in Capricorn. He’s the lord of the underworld, and it’s notable that the asteroid participant in the square, Ceres (conjunct the New Moon), is named for the mythological mother who lost her daughter to him six months out of the year. She’s pushing back now, adding issues of nourishment and the mother/child relationship to the growth imperative.

“The old guard and the old ways can fight all they want. Resistance is futile.”

From Lisa Stardust for The Hoodwitch:

With all the chaotic, dramatic, and intense energy permeating the air, we are all called upon by the universe to release and break free from the shackles and constraints of society. As we release toxic relationships, fears, and self doubt, we may feel mentally taxed. While there is glory and gratification in challenging the norms of society and status quo—it can make us feel energetically drained and in desperate need to clean our auric field.

she who is coming into being

The new moon and Uranus entered Taurus this morning, only a few hours apart, and considering Uranus changes signs every 7ish years I think it’s only logical to expect a big bang. But what does that mean when it has entered such a slow and steady sign? Taurus’ definitely like to do things in their own time. I know this firsthand from raising the sweetest, and also most stubborn, little Taurus of my own. He can’t be persuaded or begged or bribed to do anything that he simply doesn’t want to do. I’ll leave the forecasting to the astrologers, but I’ll bet this next 7 years will be Taurus as I’ve never seen it before.

Las night I was sitting on my porch, drinking in the sweet smell of the fresh plants and the crisp air after rain. Just taking it all in. I’ve been avoiding stillness, for maybe the last week or so. I’ve been feeling on edge, and guess I was afraid of slowing down and what I would find. I thought I would probably just start crying again lol.

As I was seeking alignment for this giant energetic shift, I received a lovely message. It softly told me to focus on “she who is coming into being.” And you guessed it, I started crying.

I haven’t looked back in a long time and given myself credit for how far I’ve come. I’ve been so concerned with everything that I still need to do, and feel like I can never accomplish. It’s a lot! But that all goes back to my trust issues. I need to trust that I have enough time. Trust that what is for me will come, no matter how impossible it seems. Trust that I’m loved and supported and haven’t been forgotten. One of my favorite Sarah Blondin meditations to revisit when I’m feeling this way is Learning to Surrender.

There has been a lot for me to surrender and turn over to a higher power. Trusting that the Universe has my back and my world isn’t falling apart, it’s falling together. Using my senses to enjoy the world has been a good way for me to ground into what’s right here, right now.

Over the weekend I took a quick trip to Capitol Reef. It was comforting to be surrounded by nature. I took my shoes off and dug my feet into the deep sand. I felt the earth under my feet. I let the rocks support me as I snuggled into the soft sandstone seats. Taurus has been supporting me before I even realized it.

I’ll continue to stop and smell every flower and employ my senses in delighting in the abundant and magical world around me. Trusting that “she is coming into being,” she is here. I just need to get out of my own way and let her bloom.

From Kathy Biehl at Astrology Hub

The Taurus New Moon invites us to savor the sensuality and physicality of existence.  If only it would allow us to mosey over and sample them in our own sweet time.
This Moon’s energies are uncommonly highly charged for the sign and allow little chance for snoozing or otherwise missing the excitement.  They may, in fact, send us running in search of solid ground. Or hugs. Or bread and chocolate.

Once you find out for yourself what is your actual bottom line, your most sincere soul-level value that you cannot refrain from acting upon, you have an amazing set of clues to propel you through life. You are enabled to find the comfort of knowing what you are up to, an actual sense of meaning. And this can be an enormous comfort in the midst of challenging and changing times.

Through our acts may we pioneer new ways that help transform our cultural views of both the Earth and Women. For beyond gender, this shift is a move toward the Feminine Principle within all of Creation being honored and valued.
The bridge is a return to the Earth, to our body and to our senses through which we can communicate directly with the Life Stream that pulses throughout all of Creation.
Through these times of change, ground into the Mamma Earth, spend time in Nature and remember that music is a portal that opens the body to the feeling realms. And so it begins…

full moon in libra

It’s already been a crazy full moon, huh. At least for me. Yesterday felt like I experienced every emotion, from joy to isolation, all within seconds… and then it would cycle through again. But I’m reminding myself that the “negative” emotions are here to teach me and help me grow. They’re showing me where to be more open and live more fully through my heart.

There are so many things that I’m waiting and ready to jump into the next phase on, but I’m trying to stay present and find the magic NOW. Because, those moments won’t exist until they are here and I’m missing out on what is here by constantly trying to live in the future. When I am able to relax and tap into the present moment, I see so much magic and love and joy and support. Maybe that’s one reason why it’s hard to stay.. the power is almost overwhelming. In a wonderful way.

But one thing I’m definitely working on is owning my power. Owning my power to create and live the beautiful life I know is here. Owning my power as a manifestation of Divinity. Owning my power as a woman and a mother. The ways are endless, and it’s so much easier to give our responsibility, and therefore our power, to someone else. Then, when things don’t work out, we can always blame them, or life, or whatever other external thing, without having to accept our failings. But its our failures that make us great.

And we can never really fail at all. Every single experience is to make us stronger and more capable of finding the best way to use our power. Being human is a magical thing. We are constantly co-creating the world we live in. And once we realize just how much power we hold in this process, we can change the world to be anything we want. And why not dream of a world with less suffering, less pain, less isolation and more compassion, community, and love.

It’s so simple that it almost sounds absurd. That’s how the truth usually is. Maybe that’s why minimalism is making such a huge splash right now. We are unconscious yearning to live without the clutter and confusion our mind so often produces. We are seeking the quiet simplicity of truth and love.

From Leslie Benson at Astrograph

The Full Moon is a time symbolic of culmination and harvest in the lunar cycle when the Moonreflects the maximum light from the Sun onto our beautiful blue Earth. When the Moon becomes full, it is at the opposite position in the zodiac from the Sun, and the Full Moon of March 31, 2018 takes place at 10º plus Libra, opposing the Sun at 10º plus Aries. The AriesLibra axis is significant of the self as reflected and related to by other, especially in terms of interpersonal relationships. Both signs are cardinal, meaning that their energetic quality is that of a hinge or dramatic turning point, and we may experience this as an undertone of this lunation. Where things were stuck, confused or tangled in our awareness, there is opportunity now for them to release and turn on into the next phase.

Slow but unstoppable forces are bearing down on relationships, agreements, structures and foundations plenty… Libran qualities are giving way to a firm and stern directness under this Moon. It’s guiding emotions to a crescendo and demanding not merely a response, but concrete movement.
The Full Moon is lighting up the Aries/Libra axis, which seesaws between the individual and the Other. We’re receiving an emotional report status report about the role of specific people in our lives, as well as the dynamics, agreements and rule books under which our relationships operate. Continuing as is is not an option. The report is coming with a shove to do something about all of this.

From Mystic Mamma

*FULL MOON* in Libra is giving us all the feels. As always Libra teaches us about right relationship to everything in our lives.
At this particular time, in this Year of Dog with all the planetary action at play and Mercury Retrograde, we are being asked to bring the focus inward and gaze deeply into the mirror of Self so we can truly come into right relationship with all our relations.
There is so much that is out of balance coming up for reflection for each of us on many levels. Being conscious is being aware of the impact our actions have on others. We are all in relationship and our actions have rippling effects, whether we are aware of it or not.
Now is the time to bring our  focus inward and create some healing space for ourselves to self-reflect, so we can ground into Source connection, gain understanding, and bring about some good healing as we course correct.
Dynamics will shift as we ourselves shift.  So let’s harness our energy so can more consciously realign our actions with our hearts.

pisces new moon 🌑

Pisces season is almost over, which I’m real sad about because it’s my favorite time of year. I love daydreaming and feeling st home with the energy around me… it’s been nice to go inside and retreat for the past month. BUT, I’m ready to emerge! I’m ready for what’s next! I’m ready for Aries season to light a fire under my ass to get the motion moving and turn my daydreams into reality.

I always love taking the time to set intentions and sit with the new Moon, but I’m extra excited for all the seeds that I’m planting this for this lunation cycle! The fog is finally clearing and I’m starting to see what the path ahead looks like… and where I would like to end up. I have a lot of big plans in store!

I can’t spill all the beans right now, but some of the things I’m working on are getting more videos out and really diving deeper in to my creative spaces. I’m listening to my intuition instead of all the noise around me and have had quite a few aha moments.

Healing and letting go has been a large part of creating more energy to use in other areas of my life. When I can free up energy from feeding into old patterns and reactions and judgements and just allow what is to be, Ive found peace in even the most stressful situations this month. The other day my friend was like “Yo, are you alright? Because if it was me I would be freaking out right now.”

I want to take full credit and say that I’ve finally arrived at stillness (LOL I don’t think that’s a possible state to maintain forever in this world) and I know I have some hurt emotions I haven’t processed… but I’m good. I don’t even understand fully why I’m not mad or whatever… but I’m not. And everything I’ve been reading has just given me more hope and assurance that everything is ok.

So what seeds are you going to plant during this dark and fertile time?

From Kathy Biel at Astrology Hub

“Feeling sensitive? Awash in other people’s stuff? Just plain feeling?

You’re under the influence of the Mar. 17 Pisces New Moon.

The Pisces New Moon launches the last lunar cycle before the Spring Equinox, Mar. 20. What might we create, in the season’s final days?

We’re not likely to float or wallow. My forecast explains:

“The Pisces New Moon is the switch into awareness of (and escalating) discomfort, just before release. … It’s productive, motivating and potentially profoundly healing. And it comes with a kick that sets off the exploding life force of the spring.

New Moons bring fresh starts, and new life… It’s the wet, soggy ground hiding the seeds magically germinating new life.”

From Mystic Mamma

*NEW MOON* in Pisces on March 17th is being called a healing Moon, for it will reveal much that is needing to be healed.
With a lot of fiery energy in the air, it’s vital to take deep breaths, slow down and take time to turn inward for reflection and revelation.
These seas must be traversed with much compassion for self and other.
This current passage has the potential to bring about a great healing, as we feel and address the spaces that have been stirring deep pain for us.
We have an opportunity to become more aware in the midst, opening our hearts and our perceptions.
We are all in the ongoing process of personal and collective evolution, and everyday we are being challenged to surrender the choices that bind and open up to new way, while holding ourselves and others ever so gently.”

From Henry Seltzer at Astrograph

Saturday’s New Moon has some very interesting astrological features, all pointing to it’s being time to begin doing some serious interior work. For one thing, this New Moon takes place in inner-oriented Pisces, and square to Mars in the last degree of Sagittarius, just before Mars enters Capricorn that same morning. This implies studied activity in pursuit of spiritual goals. The Sun and Moon of this New Moon are also found in close aspect to startling and revelatory Uranus, plus in conjunction there in Pisces with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, which speaks to the concept of unearthing old trauma for the purpose of moving beyond it.
Finally, the new planet Eris, representing a Feminine Warrior energy in support of soul intention, is extremely activated in this timing also, being closely aspected by retrograde Jupiter in Scorpio to within a minute of a degree. This brings out the urgent desire to make something concretely happen in your life that is consistent with your deep-seated goals. All in all, you are being enjoined by the Universe to take a stand for yourself by coming to a more complete understanding of who you truly are, inside and out, and by better navigating the persistent presence in your life of ancient wounding, which until you can get a handle on can be crippling and disruptive to your natural arc of development.

march madness 🌙

Spring is coming!

There is so much awesome energy on the way to help us continue our transformation into the best us we can be. I’m so excited to continue exploring and working with all the fresh magic I can feel, just in time for Spring.

Here are some of my favorite forecasts for what we can expect during March 🙂

Jessica Lanyadoo for The Hoodwitch

“There’s so much going on this week that it’s important to remember to breathe. The bottom line is that life is not a collection of details – it’s the whole picture. You may be having a rough time now, but that doesn’t mean that you will tomorrow. If you find that you’re losing perspective, take a step back and take a moment to get present. You don’t need to be perfect, you only need to be whole. You don’t need to know what’s coming next, you only need to do your best in the here and now.
On the 1st we have a fertile Full Moon in Virgo at 4:51pmPST. What are you willing to let go of in order to make room for something better? The Sun is in idealistic Pisces, while the Moon is in boots-on-the-ground Virgo. It’s time to pour your heart and efforts into what you love. How can you love what you have to do, even when it’s a boner? This is a period to explore the idea of perfection; what is it, really? Find it in the mundane, in the profane, in the weeds, and in the valleys. Perfection is right here, right now because the present moment could be no other way than as it is. Perfection requires presence and acceptance – not an OCD attention to purity but an embracing of this moment – the good, the bad, and the ugly of it.
Let go of distractions, and be here for the beauty of what is. Gear your actions in service to what you can help improve. This isn’t the time to lament what could’ve or should’ve been. Deal directly with what is, and try to let go of what doesn’t serve that purpose.”

Leslie Benson for Astrograph

“The Full Moon in Virgo, opposite the Sun, still swimming through Pisces, brings our awareness to the processes of purification, our orientation in tending to life’s nitty gritty details, and the polarity (or perhaps paradox) of mundane life amidst the Great Mystery of our existence. Virgo is a mutable earth sign, and Pisces is a mutable water sign, so when the Full Moon falls on this axis there is an opportunity both for being open to the possibility and opportunities for change, yet also attempting to stabilize amidst the topsy-turvy feelings that can come up when things are too much in flux. Add to that a whopping dose of Neptune (located in the sign of his rulership in Pisces, plus conjunct AND parallel the Sun) and we have ourselves a vast, numinous, and oceanic atmosphere for this Full Moontime. Neptune’s wisdom helps us see into the ethers, opening our perception to just how gorgeously magnificent and miraculous our universe – and our place within it – can truly be. This opening and expansion in awareness can also sometimes create a state of confusion or feeling lost at sea, especially when that larger than life energy comes into contact with areas in our psyche or system which are, for whatever reason, resistant or contracted against full acceptance of Universal Love.”

Kathy Biel for Astrology Hub

“Longing for sanity? Solid ground? This year’s Virgo Full Moon on March 1/2, 2018 has your fix.
It’s powering up our abilities to analyze, communicate and problem solve, even as emotional high tides crest.
Welcome possibilities all, as we emerge from recent eclipses into a Pisces-dominated sky.
The Moon is beaming down anchors – or life preservers – as we float on the sea of life. Or flounder, as it’s felt for some of us lately.
Don’t expect a smooth ride, though. This Full Moon teems with factors that could cloud and complicate perceptions and actions. … All this water is linking us effortlessly. Connecting is deep, profound, candid and revealing. Granted, fears can bubble up through that link to infect relationships, but so can intense feelings that you may not have allowed yourself to acknowledge.”

Pat Lilies for Mystic Mamma

“If your mind and head talk are holding you at arms length from self acceptance of all that you are, take up Jupiter’s offer to free you from the psychological skeletons that you are dragging into the arena of new opportunities.
“With so much Piscean support, Mercury can help you surrender mentally and use your feminine, water nature to guide you into union with that which is greater than self.
“One teaching indigenous people embody and share in their rituals and daily lives is the ability to turn over guilt, burdens and sufferings to higher power ~ a profound and simple act that western cultures seem to lack and therefore, unnecessarily carry physical, mental and emotional loads in their daily lives.
“Use this Full Moon to surrender your heart, your mind, your burdens to Great Spirit, Mother Earth, Father Sky.
“Your task is not guilt or suffering, but gratitude.”

new moon|solar eclipse in aquarius |Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year!

January seemed like it’s own year between the closure of December and now. Maybe it’s because my birthday is in a few days too, but I’m so excited for the upcoming year! This past month for me has been all about release, rest, and rejuvenation – easier said than done I’ll tell ya. I’m not great at relaxing, I usually end up feeling so guilty about not being productive that I don’t enjoy the break I’m treating myself to. But this past little while I stopped listening to that voice and gave my body, mind, and soul the self care it’s really been craving.

It feels so good to finally let go of things that I haven’t had the courage to face. Some things have been in there for years! But the more I let go, the lighter and more free I become. And that is an intoxicating feeling. Not being tied down and controlled by your past is the best feeling in the world!

The other day I was hit with a Uranus bolt of inspiration and realized what path I need to focus on… I won’t tell you just yet but I am so excited. I can see the pieces finally falling into shape and a discernible image being born. Things are finally making sense! All of a sudden someone turned on the light and I don’t know how I didn’t see all of this before.

Anyways, another part of my new year new me is that I’m going to start posting videos on the blog! I’ll link them through youtube. Sometimes a story needs to be told and not just written, so I’m going to start sharing more of my story with you guys. I’m really excited about all this beautiful new fresh energy and putting it to good use manifesting my dreams into reality. There is so much magic right now just waiting for us to incorporate it into our lives!

Check out two of my favorites below talking about the new moon/solar eclipse and then begin to decide how you can best use this energy to step across the threshold into this new era.

“You are not just the drop in the ocean. You are the mighty ocean in the drop.” — Rumi

From Mystic Mamma

“A palpable shift is occurring, a recognition that all has brought us to the precipice of this moment right now.
To step through we must bring mindful awareness to what this moment is asking of us.
This *NEW MOON* Solar Eclipse in Aquarius is a reset toward a different level of experience.
The shift is precisely in our outlook and our direct engagement with Life before us, around us and within us.
Real growth begets the full power of our presence. But to get there we must leave behind the imprints and patternings of the past.
We are the ambassadors of Spirit in human form, breaking out of the shell of past conditionings and opening into new experiential fields of depth and understanding.
And it all winds down to the quality of our presence, deeply listening and paying attention to what is right before us.”

From Marina Macario on Astrology Hub

“A Solar Eclipse is a turbocharged New Moon. Generally, New Moon rituals are perfect for planting new seeds and starting afresh. We are essentially working on the blank canvas of the dark moon where our ideas can gestate in the new moon soil. But with an Eclipse, the Moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. Therefore the lunar interrupts the flow of energy. It breaks our habitual behavior and gives us a kind of cosmic reboot.
“The Moon blots out masculine/left brain energy for a while, so the feminine/right brain is flooded with instinctual and intuitive energy. This makes the unconscious, conscious, like when you become aware that you are dreaming. During an eclipse, like the lucid dream, we get that same sudden feeling of hyperawareness. We could do anything!”

happy new moon in capricorn!

It’s the first new moon of 2018! I can’t believe it’s here already. Time has been doing that weird slow, but fast thing for me lately… so I’m excited to have a new moon grounded in the earth energy of Capricorn. These past few weeks I’ve been overwhelmed, with a huge list, and so many demands on my plate it seems like I’m being pulled in a million different directions at once.

After a slight meltdown on Sunday, I finally slowed down and listened to my body telling me to focus on what is important. Sometimes it’s hard to know just what that is because there are so many people telling us what THEY think it should be. The mini meltdown was me calling myself back into alignment with what I know that I should be doing.

This time of year is always crazy for me, but now that I’m back on track and have set achievable goals I’m feeling confident again. Progress is being made! Even if it’s just baby steps toward my ultimate goals. Who was it that said in order to get somewhere you have to take the first step? A lot of first steps have been taken lately and I’m going to pat myself  on the back for that. Slow and steady wins the race, right?

From Mystic Mamma

*NEW MOON* in Capricorn is calling us to rise from within and move forward with our deepest Knowing.
We began the year coming to terms with what is no longer working and what needs to be let go of and now it’s time to move onward and trust in the unknown journey that awaits.
The beauty is we can choose to learn from our past and use our experiences as the fertile soil that will one day shoot new sprouts. Just as the dandelion seeds are carried in the wind to new ground, so we are held in the great continuum of life as it unfolds.”

Watch your “seeds” sown at the dark moon grow by asking to be supported in getting your new projects off the ground. From now until the time of the full moon is the time for culmination. Use the energy of Capricorn moon to stabilize your foundation materially. Capricorn New Moon concerns leadership, issues of security, and responsibility, it’s time to take care of business!”

From Henry Seltzer at Astrograph

“Tuesday’s Capricorn New Moon focuses a great deal of earth energy, with a Capricorn line-up of six planets, including Saturn,  SunMoon and Pluto. The outer planet aspects are also quite telling, with the New Moon in semi-square to Neptune, and in square to Uranus, with Mars in partile (or same-degree) aspect to Uranus as well, while Jupiter makes an extremely close sextile to Pluto. The outer planets take us right out of our narrow view of life in the physical, so that we will want to be alert for this now and over the next thirty days. Uranus, the Trickster, and the Awakener, by a process of surprise enlightenment and meaningful synchronicity opens us up to other-dimensional realities. Neptune allows us to drift away from the material plane entirely, functioning through dreams, poetry, and music to bring these other and more hidden realms to active presence within our very souls, while Pluto in Capricorn nudges us toward total transformation in our lives including our involvement with the mundane world of “getting and spending,” as poet William Wordsworth put it years ago, when the dawning of the nineteenth century highlighted the drama of our over-inundation with the material world.”

sag new moon

From Kathy Biel at Astrology Hub

“This year’s Sagittarius New Moon on Dec. 17/18 has traits that ordinarily don’t surface till New Year’s Eve.

It brings awareness of time passing and chapters ending, even as it orients us to the future. It stirs optimism and possibility in the midst of somberness.  And instead of resolutions, it encourages making concrete wishes that stand a very real chance of manifesting.

It’s equal turns philosophical, serious, retrospective, optimistic and gung-ho for love and money. All of that is imposing, purposeful and larger than life, almost as if the proceedings are expanding across all time/space. Which they might be, given that the Moon is directly at the Galactic Center.”

From Henry Seltzer at Astrograph

“With Mercury in retrograde, this continues to be, of course, an entirely introspective period of time throughout December. The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon may serve to aid us in our process of self-discovery. This is, for the Sun and Moon in the 27th degree of Sagittarius, “A sculptor,” which reminds us that we are continually, out of the materials which come to hand, forging our own character. Marc Edmund Jones refers to “creative ability as the manifestation of self-consciousness in its maturity of realization,” and “the enlarged horizons which follow from an individual’s mastery of their own particular talents.” Indeed, it is up to each of us to unstintingly try to fashion the very best version of ourselves that we can achieve, knowing in our hearts that only this will truly satisfy us for the sake of the future.”

From the Hoodwitch

“There is a proclivity now towards open and honest exchanges, and seeing things from a more idealistic viewpoint.  Now is a great time to rid  yourself of any meanness, pettiness, or unresolved dramas. Let go of these types of misunderstandings as we now  have the opportunity to create some major transformation, and healing. The Archer  helps  us aim and shoot toward our goals,  but we must be open and receptive to it’s potent energy. With 2018 just around the corner, now is the time to  benefit from forward moving, growth, and expansion. Allow the fires of the Sagittarius  new moon to burn through any and all obstacles/ barriers. The arrow of the archer is in our hands,  be sure to choose it’s direction carefully.”
